MOT
For cars or vehicles with up to 8 passenger seats

At Strathearn Engineering we carry out MOT testing on all makes and models of car, including hybrid and fully electric vehicles. This includes taxis, private hire cars, ambulances, motorhomes, campervans, most vans and smaller commercial vehicles with a weight of up to 3,500 kg.
Even though we specialise in Land Rover, our technicians are fully trained on all makes and models.
We recommend you have a pre-MOT check carried out up to 4 weeks prior to the expiry of your MOT. This will give plenty of time to have any issues or repairs carried out to ensure your car avoids any last minute failures and gives you peace of mind.
MOT
For electric vehicles

Electric cars are becoming more popular and here at Strathearn Engineering we carry out MOT testing on all makes and models of car, including hybrid and fully electric vehicles.

MOT
For Class 7 Commercial Vehicles
£54.85
A Class 7 MOT is required for commercial vehicles with a gross weight between 3,000kg to 3,500kg, whereas cars and smaller vans used for commercial reasons will require a Class 4 MOT. If you're unsure of what test your vehicle requires please refer to your vehicle handbook or V5 registration document.
We have high capacity lifts and experienced technicians fully qualified to carry out MOT testing on Class 7 MOT vehicles at Strathearn Engineering.
We recommend you have a pre-MOT check carried out up to 4 weeks prior to the expiry of your MOT. This will give plenty of time to have any issues or repairs carried out to ensure your vehicle avoids any last minute failures and gives you peace of mind.
If your vehicle fails, its MOT there is a 10-working day period for the vehicle to be fixed in order to have a free retest completed.
If the vehicle cannot be fixed within the 10-day retest period, then it will require another full chargeable MOT test.
We are able to carry out most MOT repairs with rare exceptions when we are exceptionally busy, and your vehicle requires a large amount of work to get it through MOT. However, in the rare occasion we are not able to help we will always try to recommend somewhere else who can help you.
