Land Rover Defender 110
This customer came to us with an idea of a childhood dream of his, to create his ideal V8 powered Land Rover Defender.
As a fencing contractor he came across an ex-police full armoured bombproof Defender 110 hard top. The glass was all an inch thick with no opening mechanisms, the panels were 1/4” steel, our forklift truck struggled to lift the body off of the chassis.
Unfortunately there was no way forward for this body, so a second Defender was purchased as a donor vehicle. Going forward from the original vehicle was the heavy duty chassis and axles, and of course a lovely 3.5L V8 with manual gearbox.
Our custom rebuild then commenced, with a complete restoration and enhance of everything. A full respray inside & out, luxury interior and exterior upgrades. All Optimill hinges, screen wash jets, wing vents etc on the outside & an Exmoor trim seat & cubby box upgrade on the inside combined with some custom leather diamond pattern door trims & dash trim. Additionally, an upgrade stereo system was fitted with Bluetooth & reverse camera capabilities along with upgraded speakers all round.
This custom build was completed by our Specialist Technician Brian with 34 years of experience, who spent 845 hours start to finish in order to produce this exemplary vehicle.
The finished vehicle is in regular use and has been out and completed a full road trip through the Alps with the whole family.
